KAKO Gin Blood Orange Sour

ingredients

  • 2oz KAKO Gin 

  • 1oz Fresh Blood Orange

  • 0.25oz Fresh Lemon Juice 

  • 0.75oz Peach syrup 

  • 1 Egg white Dry shake 

  • 2 Big ice cubes and shake again 

  • Serve 1 large ice cube 

  • Strain slowly

  • Add 4 drops Bitters or red Grenadine 

  • Slice of blood Orange to garnish

An omage to the large luscious Mediterranean Blood Oranges. A truly delicious fruit on the sour side. This cocktail is succulent and vibrant all together. Enjoy a good Vitamin dose whilst releasing some endorphins. This cocktail is for those who’s taste buds require that citrusy zingy wang.

METHod

This cocktail requires some attention, but is certainly worth all the effort. Feel free to replace any of the ingredients with anything you may have in your cupboard. Pour all liquids into a cocktail shaker. Short shake without Ice before shaking again with Ice. We recommend serving this in a nice Martini glass with a large ice cube or two larger ice cubes. Strain slowly over the Ice in your glass. Add some bitters, or another of Nico’s favourite, some Grenadine. Finish it off with a nice slice of a fresh blood Orange. This cocktail tastes great, and looks great!
