KAKO Gin the Rossini

ingredients

  • 1.5oz KAKO Gin 

  • 0.75oz Freshly squeezed Lemon juice 

  • 0.5oz Cane Sugar Syrup (or flavour syrup of your choice) 

  • 3oz Prosecco 

  • 3 Strawberries

Like Rossini’s florid coloraturas and fast music passages this cocktail is a little more complex both in flavour and design. It certainly exudes the underlying flavours whilst always having that sparkly fizz as we find in all of Rossini’s music.

METHod

Mash two Strawberries in a cocktail shaker. Save the third strawberry for Garnish. Add Lemon juice, Gin and sugar syrup. Shake gently. Prepare a chilled cocktail glass…the colder the better. Strain the liquids into the glass retrieving a nice puree kind of consistency. Complete the cocktail by topping it up with Prosecco. A your saved Strawberry to the lip of the glass for decoration and garnish.
